Uncanny Warhol by MHL

LAVERACK spent four minutes uncanning two Campbell soup cans for video. This was then exhibited at L’Exposition at CASC. LAVERACK was supposed to attend the event and to re-enact the original video work live. However, due to an unfortunate double booking, LAVERACK found himself to be in Hamburg, so co-curator Matthew Harrison-Lord re-enacted the work live.

This was a performance response to the academic paper ‘Uncanny’ by Sigmund Freud & ‘Campbell’s Soup Cans 1962’ by Andy Warhol.
